By default, when joining components the force measurement is determined by measuring the motor current. This cost-efficient procedure allows a measurable accuracy of about 10% of the force range.
The force measurement chain is used for high-precision joining tasks. The force measurement chain extends the measurable accuracy to < 1% of the force range.
The force measurement chain has the following features:
- force sensor in very compact construction in combination with industrial charge amplifier
- high stiffness
- galvanic isolation
- polarity reversal protection
