Working together through dialogue for a strong SME sector
On 23rd June, we had the pleasure of welcoming high-profile guests to IEF-Werner GmbH in Furtwangen:
Together with Mr Thomas Albiez, Chief Executive of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, District Administrator Sven Hinterseh and Mayor Florian Merz, we were able to engage in an in-depth discussion on the current economic situation facing industrial SMEs.
The focus of the discussion:
The challenges currently facing manufacturing companies – from rising costs and international competitive pressure to a shortage of skilled workers and reluctance to invest.
At the same time, the visit provided an opportunity to showcase the technological expertise of IEF-Werner. With a portfolio ranging from linear technology and servo presses to workpiece carrier transport systems, automation and palletising solutions, it is clear just how important innovative and forward-looking SMEs are for the region.
A particular highlight of the visit was the joint tour of our production facilities, which were operating at full capacity. During the tour, Manfred Meyer used current customer projects in production to explain in detail the wide range of application and automation solutions our company offers across the various market segments.
From medical technology and the pharmaceutical industry through to electrical engineering and industrial automation solutions, it became clear just how well-positioned IEF-Werner is in these fields and the wealth of long-standing experience and technical expertise that goes into each individual project. The numerous ongoing client projects underline the company’s capabilities and the high level of market acceptance of our solutions.
In the preceding strategy dialogue, CEO Jürgen Noailles outlined IEF-Werner’s future direction – the focus was on the sustainable development of the company, the expansion into international markets, a focus on future-oriented sectors – such as medical and pharmaceutical technology – and the consistent further development of the product and solutions portfolio. The combination of many years’ experience, technological expertise and a clear growth strategy demonstrates how medium-sized industrial companies can achieve sustainable and successful growth even in challenging times.
Together, business, politics and institutions can provide important impetus for the future of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg industrial region. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the open and constructive dialogue, as well as for the great interest shown in our company and our staff!
