Dynamical Power Pack
Direct drives are the perfect solution for dynamical and precise handling and assembly tasks. They are compact, fast, and have a high positioning and repeat accuracy. IEF-Werner GmbH therefore offers the euroLINE series. The drives can be used for different tasks with their different slide variants and stroke sizes. Now IEF-Werner renewed the product line radically. The axis euroLINE 200 offers a stroke of up to 2.7 metres and maximum speed of five metres per second to the user.
Furtwangen, 20.02.2019 – Direct drives are mainly used in handling or assembly technology as well as the semi-conductor and electrics production. They are also employed for measuring and testing tasks because of their high precision. Since linear motors generally contain only few abrasive components, they are used in clean rooms, too. IEF-Werner offers the series euroLINE in different models, which are especially suitable for dynamical and precise applications. The automation specialist integrated a linear motor, a path measuring system and a guiding into the units. Therefore, the client receives a solution that is ready for assembly, which needs only little expense for construction and installation. It is also possible to install several independent slides on one guiding in a place-saving manner or to install them in a cross connection.
The euroLINE 200 is a new addition to the series. This version makes it possible to realise tasks that were not possible with the previous types. The smallest stroke of the series is 46 millimetres and goes in 96 millimetre steps up to a maximum of 2,736 millimetres. The version reaches a maximum speed of five metres per second. Its peak force amounts in 1,000 newton; the maximum torque is also 1,000 newton. The largest euroLINE version is able to handle work pieces weighing up to 80 kilograms safely. The direct drive is now encapsulated with the flexible metal belt cover. Thereby, penetration of dirt as well as particle release are prevented as far as possible.
The smallest version is still the euroLINE 32 KLA. It is equipped with a non-ferrous linear motor and an optical, incremental path measuring system; it is suited for fast movements with its good responsiveness and runs very quietly. With its compact dimensions, it can be installed within restricted spatial conditions. The speed can run also up to five metres per second; the repeat accuracy is ±0.003 millimetres. The peak force, that this unit is able to reach, is 132 newton. Strokes are possible with up to 1,662 millimetres. IEF-Werner offers the euroLINE 32 KLA also as vertically driven model with weight compensation and a stroke of up to 189 millimetres.
